AvtoVAZ says Russian sales rise 43.1% to 40,000 cars in June

MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) – The Russian car sales of carmaker AvtoVAZ rose by 43.1% on the year to more than 40,000 vehicles in June, the company said in a statement on Friday.

In January–June, the sales of cars and light commercial vehicles of AvtoVAZ jumped by 51% on the year to 200,219 units in spite of the ongoing economic instability and a deficit of imported car components, the company said.

As compared with the same periods of the pre-COVID year of 2019, the sales rose by 30.3% in June and by 14.9% January–June.
